• About Studio Momenti

      Studio Momenti features the work of Josef Willis and Lisa Ruschetti and is located in the historic downtown of Bristol Virginia/Tennessee.

      In addition to maintaining a studio in Bristol we travel frequently throughout the Southeast and beyond to photograph weddings.

      Additionally we have a summer presence in Butte, Montana where we primarily concentrate on high school seniors.

      Through our Pageant Photography Division we photograph the Miss Maryland USA and Miss Illinois USA pageants in Bethesda and Chicago.

{ Princeton is the top dog }

It’s true, we photograph a lot of beauty contestants, seniors, and models.

But this was a chance to photograph another kind of “beauty contestant.”

Bluegrass Ivy League Z White Star  (why do dogs and English royalty have similar lengthy names?) is headed for “the show”.  He’s scored a place in the Westminster Kennel Club dog show at Madison Square Garden in New York.

It’s invitation only.  You know he must have been thrilled when he opened the letter.

This is a copy of the ad for the Westminster program book we produced.

Look for him on USA Network in February.  Then he’ll be in line for the big endorsements.  Shampoo, dog food and a film deal are just around the corner

At least I’ll be able to say I scratched his head once.

{ Emily + Robert }

Emily and Robert obsessed over two events on December 5th.  Their wedding and the SEC Championship.

Groomsmen and bridesmaids maids alike kept their Blackberrys humming and the couple updated with the latest from Atlanta.

As soon as the ceremony wrapped at the Emory & Henry Chapel the wedding party quickly decamped to the Martha Washing Inn’s bridal suite to watch the final moments of the Crimson Tide’s annihilation of the hapless Gators.

Needless the say the reception (a.k.a. victory celebration) was an especially enthusiastic rock and roll party.

Emily and Robert were beaming with happiness and excitement throughout the evening.

What more could a ‘bama fan ask for!   A beautiful bride and for the Crimson Tide to play for the national championship.  Roll tide roll!

{ Logan’s Album Photographs)

The lovely Logan came to us for some photographs for her first CD.  After some studio photography we headed out to the country for more.  Look for her CD which should be out soon and remember you saw her here first!_i6e0828_i6e1544fx_i6e1575fx_i6e1691

{ Kayla’s Killer Looks }

_i6e2705

It’s true, Kayla has a killer look.  Especially  if you happen to cross her path during hunting season.  But the rest of the time she’s just a mild mannered student at Abingdon High School.  But be careful when you meet her.  Be nice, wear orange and everything will be all right.

{ Hurst family }

It was chilly.  And my slashing around in the duck pond didn’t help but the Hurst family made it feel a lot warmer when  we met for a family session at Emory & Henry in Meadowview._i6e4600fx

{ Sarah + Sid }

I love wedding that celebrate families.  And Sarah and Sid’s was one of the best.  After spending the morning at her parents house getting ready Sara and Sid headed over to Abington’s Virginia Ballroom for a truly heartfelt ceremony.  Great food and quality bluegrass music rounded out the afternoon for an especially enthusiastic  Virginia Tech crowd.

{ clarissa + chad }

It rained. Big whoop!  Clarissa was singing in the rain on her way to the alter inside the historic Martha Washington Inn.

And Chad scarcely noticed the rain either as he was too busy waiting for the love of his life to stroll down the aisle.

After an especially enthusiastic ceremony the hotel quickly turned the ballroom into a rockin’ reception site.  I think the rain was the only thing keeping this crowd from burning the place down!

And a big thanks to Andi Brown of Weddings by Adrianne for keeping everything moving like clockwork.  She even put her husband David (shown holding the umbrella in photograph 4) to work!  DJ, Robbie Britton kept the booty shaking all night long.
