What do you do when you’re in one state and your fiance is in another? In Bristol, all you have to do is sweetly bring you lips together at the state line to feel the excitement mounting for a November wedding.

It was a blast shooting Katie and Evan’s engagement photographs downtown. The celebration is going to be awesome.

Does Tennessee and Alabama mix? I always though this was as impossible as an oil and water mixture but Amy and Matthew have found the secret of combining molecules. And it works great as shown in these photographs from their session in downtown Bristol and at King College.

I forgot a simple rule of elevation. It’s colder at the top.

But the cold didn’t bother Erin and Aaron (say that five times, then turn and pin the tail on the donkey) as we headed to the top of the Roan Mountain balds.

Such a wonderful day. And an awesome couple. But it was so nice to get back within range of a heater after the sun dropped out of sight.

When Samantha was in the studio a couple of months ago she did some modeling for our neighbor Stephanie of A Bridal Path.

We hadn’t posted any of these photographs before but now with the start of the “Wedding Season” I though it would be an appropriate time.

It was so much fun shooting with Brody and Jessica. You’ll never meet a sweeter couple and listening to Brody’s Nebraska stories made the session that much more fun.

This week we had the opportunity to visit with Susan and Terry on their property where they’re building a new home. It was great to see them again especially on a delightfully warm afternoon.

As you can see, Terry still has the romantic playful attitude that’s kept Susan smiling ever since the wedding.

The charming and uber talented Logan stopped by this afternoon to give us a copy of her new CD, Okay. I know it’s been a long time coming for her and she should be so proud.

It sounds awesome! And I think our photography looks great too.

It’s true, we photograph a lot of beauty contestants, seniors, and models.

But this was a chance to photograph another kind of “beauty contestant.”

Bluegrass Ivy League Z White Star (why do dogs and English royalty have similar lengthy names?) is headed for “the show”. He’s scored a place in the Westminster Kennel Club dog show at Madison Square Garden in New York.

It’s invitation only. You know he must have been thrilled when he opened the letter.

This is a copy of the ad for the Westminster program book we produced.

Look for him on USA Network in February. Then he’ll be in line for the big endorsements. Shampoo, dog food and a film deal are just around the corner

At least I’ll be able to say I scratched his head once.

Such a fun couple. They couldn’t wait to get out of the studio and to Steele Creek Park where this outdoor loving couple felt right at home. I hope their air mattress will fit in the house better than in the tent. Only a couple of weeks to go to the celebration at Abingdon’s Martha Washington Inn. Did anyone say party all night?

Having our studio located in the town with NASCAR’s fastest mile always brings thousands to town. And when the couple works in racing, it’s a chance to take a few moments away from the festivities for engagement photos.

When Emily & Robert showed up in Emily’s dads new orange Camaro, I knew this would be fun. Does this mean they’ll be leaving the wedding in a pace car? Is an endorsement deal in the works? Or is this the future couple’s wedding present? We can’t wait for the checkered flag on this engagement to drop in December to find out.
