We had the pleasure of photographing Mike in a unusual location. On the site of an abandoned coal mine in near Harlan, Kentucky. This location had a company store that looked like it was in the 60′s when the mine was shuttered.

We felt like we had been transported back in time to the real life era of “October Sky” or “Coal Miners Daughter”. I wouldn’t been surprised at all to see youthful Loretta Lynn come walking down the tracks!

We finished up with some photography in Harlan’s storied downtown.
